Description

The Parque del Drago is the first park in the Canary Islands with native flora with representations of the different bioclimatic levels of the northwest of Tenerife.
In this "nature classroom" located in Icod de Los Vinos you will find ethnographic areas of special interest such as a medicinal garden with plants used by the island's ancestors as natural remedies. A "carbonera", which was the traditional way of obtaining charcoal and which was a very important resource on the island. A wine press, or a cave where you can admire the representation of an aboriginal burial. And the star of the place: the spectacular Millenian Dragon Tree, the longest living tree of its species and a national monument since 1917.
