Description
We will leave from Los Cristianos Port in Tenerife and take the ferry to San Sebastián de La Gomera, capital of the island. There we will take the bus to visit our first stop: the Hermigua Valley.
We will continue the tour, passing through La Palmita and arrive at the village of Agulo. There you will have time to have lunch in a traditional restaurant and, if available, see a live demonstration of "silbo gomero" (the communication art of whistling from La Gomera).
After lunch, we will begin to ascend to the Garajonay National Park, a laurel forest paradise and a natural reserve declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There we will make a special stop at the Laguna Grande, where you can explore the surroundings, where it is said the ancient witches of the island used to meet.
On the way back we will stop to admire the imposing Roque de Agando, an impressive and steep volcanic lava formation. Finally we will return to San Sebastián, where you can see last historical strongholds of Christopher Columbus's passage before his departure to the American Continent, such as the Torre del Conde or Casa de Colón.

LA GOMERA TRIP
JACKIE ANDREWS: 17/04/2023
Finally after 20 years of coming to Tenerife, my husband and I booked a trip to La Gomera. It was well worth the wait from the moment we bought our tickets locally in Golf del sur to the pickup and drop off. Every element of the trip was professional and enjoyable so much so that I could not stop smiling. The Spanish guide (Alfonzo- sorry if I gave spelt it wrong) was so knowledgeable about the island and made the day worthwhile. We were lucky that we were on a small group which made the whole trip very personal. The food at the restaurant was good and the whistling demonstration excellent. The whole day was value for money and a great memory to take home back to the UK
GREAT JOURNEY TO LA GOMERA
SR BOLS LEO : 03/06/2023
Very good bus in front of the hotel at 08.15hr - the driver was excellent. The guide is well info abt the island’ whereabouts, of La Gomera and experienced. For us a reminder of a previous trip (48 !) years ago. Unfortunately the stop-over for lunch was real disaster. Bad choice … food (soup sour- tuna fish very dry) / service (?) below zero. Unfriendly and even too lazy to clean up the mess on the table and on the floor! It was indeed a beautiful trip and well organised. Leaving the bus we recommanded to change the restaurant. And the guide confirmed our suggestion IF he could make the decision.
