Journey from south of the island to Loro Parque up the east coast was fine except driver chose to drive through Puerto de la Cruz rather than continuing on the motorway and entering Loro Parque from the far end of Puerto de la Cruz which added time to the journey unnecessarily. The return journey was a bit scary with the narrow winding roads with sheer drops due to driver returning down the west coast. Unfortunately we had to climb narrow winding roads before descending again into the west coastal road. Definitely not a route for the faint hearted or anyone with vertigo. Driver was excellent at navigating the tight bends but personally, I’d have preferred returning via the east coast.
